I chose Breastfeeding
because it so important to the child birth. It meaningful to me because
breastfeeding is one way for the mother and child to bond in a special way. It
also meaningful to me because your child is getting good nutrient
and getting health vitamin from the breast of the mom. It also meaningful to me
because your child has a better chance of being a smart child. It’s also
meaningful to me so many because there are so many things in the milk now that
has the child sick or in the hospital. It also meaningful to me in so many way
like the place (that give woman free food ) don’t give
the mother enough milk for the child and the mom has to go and buy it, your
child food is always with you, the mom don’t have to get up and fix nothing
because it’s right there in front of them and etc. In other country
breastfeeding is the only way the infant child.
According to the UNICEF
in Africa is says that infant formula is not equivalent to breastmilk; it does
not contain all the essential nutrients or antibodies to protect children from diarrhea,
pneumonia or malnutrition – some of the top causes of death among children
under age 5. And child deaths remain a critical problem in South Africa, which
currently lags behind the Millennium Development Goal on reducing child
mortality.
UNICEF supports
exclusive breastfeeding in the first six months of life. Breastfeeding provides
all the nutrients infants need to grow and strengthens their immune systems as
well. It also offer a range of benefits to mothers, such as facilitating
bonding and reducing risk of post-partum haemorrhage.
This information has impact
my learning in a good way. The first way it has impact because I have clear
understanding on why I mother would breastfeed instead of doing the formula.
The second way it impact my learning because breastfeeding has their good ways
and bad ways to breastfeeding.
