Disease

As I child was I very blessed and had everything I even wanted and I didn’t have any stressors as a child. But I do know I lot of children who had cancer, diabetes or HIV/Aids and even has asthma bad. Each one of these children had to go to the doctor on a regular basic some even go more than the other. They had to take shot or the nurse go to the school and give it them to. They are sick a lot. The child with asthma bad couldn’t go outside and when the weather changes they had to stay in the house or has their inhaler with them. The  child with cancer and HIV/Aids they had to watch what they eat and where they go and even had to wear a mask when they on germ or when they has a cold and others. The resources they use were they the directed the doctor gave them to follow. The books from dialysis places and the books from the doctor they give you talking about asthma and have to deal with it. The books the doctor give you about getting tested and get tested regular and how to deal and talk to a child that has HIV/Aids.

The country I want learn about is Africa. This country has a lot of different stressors. This country has lot stressors that have a lot to do with the impact the development of child/children.  The different stressors that are in this country are poverty, Land Resource Stresses and Desertification, hunger, violence,  disease, water shortage, rape, pregnancy,  In this country there are resources that are trying to help reduce these resources. There are doctors who volunteer to go over there to get free shot and medicine to the ones who have diseases. There are pastor who go there and pray and give money to them. There are some people who send money from over the phone and there are also people who adopted some children and send those different items every month and others. There are some grocery stores that send food over there to help feed the people who are hunger. There are the different things that are being done to help reduce these stressors in this country.

I chose Breastfeeding because it so important to the child birth. It meaningful to me because breastfeeding is one way for the mother and child to bond in a special way. It also meaningful to me   because your child is getting good nutrient and getting health vitamin from the breast of the mom. It also meaningful to me because your child has a better chance of being a smart child. It’s also meaningful to me so many because there are so many things in the milk now that has the child sick or in the hospital. It also meaningful to me in so many way like  the wic place don’t give the mother enough milk for the child and the mom has to go and buy it, your child food is always with you, the mom don’t have to get up and fix nothing because it’s right there in front of them and etc. In other country breastfeeding is the only way the infant child.

According to the UNICEF in Africa is says that infant formula is not equivalent to breastmilk; it does not contain all the essential nutrients or antibodies to protect children from diarrhea, pneumonia or malnutrition – some of the top causes of death among children under age 5. And child deaths remain a critical problem in South Africa, which currently lags behind the Millennium Development Goal on reducing child mortality.

UNICEF supports exclusive breastfeeding in the first six months of life. Breastfeeding provides all the nutrients infants need to grow and strengthens their immune systems as well. It also offer a range of benefits to mothers, such as facilitating bonding and reducing risk of post-partum haemorrhage.

This information has impact my learning in a good way. The first way it has impact because I have clear understanding on why I mother would breastfeed instead of doing the formula. The second way it impact my learning because breastfeeding has their good ways and bad ways to breastfeeding.

 Childbirth Around the world

According to childbirth in China the mom and the baby has to stay in the house for 30 day and that is called confinement period. In Chinese, this is  also called  "sitting the month," as new mothers are pretty much expected to just sit around in getting to know their baby and spoiling him/her or having mother and son time but in Chinese  there are a lot of rules, and some mother real struggle with that .  According to the rules the first thing is that you can't wash. The second thing is that the food is so bland. But you really have to persist, and mom’s said it’s very difficult.

The mom are not allowed to eat raw fruit or vegetables, or drink coffee, cold drinks or even cold water, which can only be drunk tepid or hot. These rules are aimed at restoring balance to the new mother's body after childbirth. Also according to the rules the mom feet, are boiling, as she plods around in thick woolen socks and padded slippers. But she must guard against getting a chill; Chinese doctors warn that could lead to joint problems or illness later. The center where the mom has the 30 day confinement at provides luxury accommodation and 24-hour nursing staff to new mothers who participate in the Chinese tradition of "sitting the month," where they don't go outside or bathe for 30 days.

I can remember my little son childbirth. My son was to be born in the late part of October and his mom had a check on October 6 2008 and they told her she was going to have my son on the October 7 2008 so went had to be at the hospital at 6:30 on the 7 of October. My girlfriend was in labor all day on the 7 and he still didn’t come so on the October 8 she had to have an C-section and my son had to stay in the hospital for 5 extra day after his mom was release because his red blood cell count was higher than the white blood cell count. I chose this example because my girlfriend was pregnancy and didn’t know until she was about 6 month pregnancy and she was doing these like a normal person. I also chose this because women need to have regular checkup and now my son just turn 7 and he is an ADHA child and I love him so much.

When I first got in this online class on was scared and didn’t know what to expect and how I was going  get the work done but my colleagues gave encourage work and gave me that push to get it done.  During this class me colleague has supported and has gave some good advice and has also gave me some good insight about the classroom. I have support my class mates just like that has support and encourage me to keeping up the good work and to keep my head up and to not stop reaching my goals in life. I wish all my colleagues would continue this race until the finish and to let them know it maybe not be easy but don’t stop because your reward will be at the end and all your hard work didn’t go in vain and to tell good luck in life and in the professional path.

According to the NAEYC the three ideals codes of ethics that stood out to me were: To be familiar with the knowledge base of early childhood care and education and to stay informed through continuing education and training. This one mean a lot to me because before you can teach a child/student something the teacher has to first be taught the material first. The teacher has go to training and one on one training so they can teach the material right and for each and every child can understand. It’s significance to my profession life because just like I am in school now and I work in the classroom it just helping me to becoming a great teacher in the future. The next one is to create and maintain safe and healthy settings that foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development and that respect their dignity and their contributions. This one mean a lot because as a teacher you have to make the child/student environment safe and they can feel that you will hurt them nor tear them down just because they don’t answer something right. Also the student has to feel that they can trust the teacher and can feel comfortable coming to that teacher for help. Its significance to my professional life because when I was growing up going to school my teacher made sure I knew everything I need to know to make It in the next grade and to make it in life. The last one according to the NAEYC is to use assessment information to understand and support children’s development and learning, to support instruction, and to identify children who may need additional services. This one mean a lot because as a teacher you has to come up with different them for the students to learn the material and for those who need extra that they get it so they won’t be behind the other children. Its significance to my professional life because I want to be that teacher that make learning fun and make the children want to come to school to learn.
According to the DEC the three ideal of code of ethics are Professional Practice. Its mean a lot to me because it really talk about how the teacher should had high standard and to make sure all students are behavior the way they should. It’s also mean a lot to me because it really focus on the special education and that they have  learn just like all the other students and   how they behavior and how to handle them. Its significance to my professional because as a person and as a substitute teacher you not going to always get smart student and everybody is not going to learn like each other. The next one is Professional Development and Preparation. Its mean a lot to me because it also focus on special education and have to make them comfortable and they can trust you and how to teach them ad observe their behavior. Significance to my professional because I love special education and all students and each student should be treated with respect and student should get the same one on one time with them. The next one Responsive Family Practices. It mean a lot to be because as a teacher you got to respect that each child came from a different background and got to respect their belief and language and culture and they were learn different things at home. Its significance to my professional because I love to learn different thing from a child background and how they do things according to the outside world.

Another quote from Eunice Kennedy Shriver- Special Olympics athletes are spokespersons for freedom itself - they ask for the freedom to live, the freedom to belong, the freedom to contribute, the freedom to have a chance. And, of all the values that unite and inspire us to seek a better world, no value holds a higher place than the value of freedom."

One of Eunice Kennedy Shriver- “Do it well, finish it properly, and move on.’’

Another one of his quote-  If future generations are to remember us more with gratitude than sorrow, we must achieve more than just the miracles of technology. We must also leave them a glimpse of the world as it was created, not just as it looked when we got through with it

One of Lyndon B. Johnson quote-‘Until justice is blind to color, until education is unaware of race, until opportunity is unconcerned with the color of men's skins, emancipation will be a proclamation but not a fact.’’
a quote for passion, motivation, wisdom-Passion serves its purpose to help give a person motivation to learn the necessary skills and overcome the hardships they're going to face

a title of a children book

the title of one of my children is (the children bible) I chose this because explain the bible on a child level and help this understand the bible story and what went on during the bible days. I also chose it because is very educate on what the right and wrong thing to do like obey you parents and elders and etc.
A live by the quote-( no child left behind) and that mean a lot whether its in the classroom, church, on a dance team or etc. Each child has potential to do any/everything that put their mind too but need a little push to do so, that why I believe in this quote

a story about a child that touch my heart

when I go subbing in the classroom the student welcome me with open arm I don't know why even if its my first time in that classroom,  I go in and treat them like human being and lay down the rules an myself and the students get along very well. They be saying I wish you would here everyday and that warm my heart that student like/love me and know that I am a nice young man and I mean business but made learning real fun to learn and help achieve their goal in the future.
